60 Day Beginner Trial is normally $399 and includes classes up to 4 days a week in beginner level classes, the school uniform, and safety pads required for classes.

All new students start with a tour where we go over schedules, memberships, and curriculum questions that you may have. Next the new student will do a Free Evaluation class to see what it's like to be on the mats and actually do some Martial Arts.

About The Edge


The Edge was founded in 2003 by Grand Master Nathan Thorn, an 8th Degree Black Belt and Multiple Time World Champion. Master Thorn has been training in the Martial Arts for over 36 years and has shared his experience and knowledge with thousands of students. The Edge is a Mixed Martial Arts school with traditional roots that believes that each student develops at their own pace. The curriculum is designed to allow students to progress at their own pace. Level 1 beginner Martial Arts training is built around learning the essentials needed to defend oneself in real-life applications. Fancy spin kicks and difficult-to-apply Martial Arts strategies are not included in Level 1 training. The Edge also believes that students should constantly be working on developing their life skills along with their Self-Defense skills. Therefore, the school works on developing Confidence, Respect, Focus, Discipline, and Healthy Exercise Habits in its students.

WOMEN'S SELF-DEFENSE: PROPER STRIKING


Students will learn how to position their body properly to deliver stopping power with strikes. Students will also learn to pick the appropriate target and strike for different situations.

WOMEN'S SELF-DEFENSE: MOVEMENT & BLOCKING


Students will learn proper footwork to develop a strong stance. We will cover different blocking systems and strategies for different distances.

WOMEN'S SELF-DEFENSE: BREAKING OUT OF ATTACKERS GRIPS


Students will learn how to use leverage over strength to break free from some common grabs attackers may use.

WOMEN'S SELF-DEFENSE: DEFENDING FROM THE GROUND


Because fights often end on the ground we will be covering positional awareness for ground defense. Students will learn basic Jiu-Jitsu techniques which use leverage instead of strength giving a smaller defender the ability to escape attackers on the ground.
